Health Minister Richard Raši has presented a plan to settle hospitals' debts.
The plan should rest on two basic pillars: one-off debt settlement in the form of financial assistance for settling hospitals' obligations; and introduction of tools to reduce future indebtedness.
The plan is intended to be implemented next year. The ministry said it is considering three alternative approaches, or their combination: a financial loan, the creation of an agency for management of the health sector debt and a subsidy from state coffers. SITA
