Ninety-five-octane Natural petrol will cost Sk32.30 (€1.072) per litre on average. The average price of diesel will be at about Sk36.80 (€1.222) per litre.

The last time Slovakia had lower average petrol prices was in late July 2003. At that time, VAT was set at 20 percent and excise tax on petrol was Sk12.60 (€0.4182) per litre, compared to the current Sk15.50 (€0.5145). Following this week's price decline, diesel prices will reach levels last time reported in early June 2007. SITA
