MPs give STV head the sack

PARLIAMENT on August 20 fired Slovak Television (STV) public station director Milan Materák over a scandal involving the awarding of excessively generous dismissal packages to senior STV management.

STV, which is to play a major role in party advertising in the lead-up to a September 20-21 national ballot, will be led by two internal managers.
