Parliament this year approved a total of 153 laws, many of which were needed to put Slovak legislation in line with EU norms and many others that introduced what domestic and international observers saw as ambitious reforms of the tax system and in the health care, education, social, and public administration spheres.

MPs will be back at work on January 20.
