ONLY five out of 30 invited MPs turned up for a training seminar on the EU referendum. Apologies were received from just one, who had recently returned from hospital treatment.
Monika Beňová, one of the few MPs there, continued to criticise the government's handling of the referendum campaign, and slammed those MPs who did not turn up for their "irresponsible" attitude.
Eric van der Linden, head of the EU delegation to Slovakia, has expressed concerns that Slovak citizens would fail to turn up in enough numbers for the referendum. He said that there was a risk of "good weather" keeping people away: "A citizen says: Let my neighbour go. But on the other hand, what if the neighbour says the same thing?"
