The Slovak central bank (NBS) posted a loss of Sk3.5 billion (€116.18 million) as of November 30, NBS spokesperson Jana Kováčová told the state-run TASR newswire on December 12.
This economic result doesn't include differences stemming from the appraisal of financial property and assets and liabilities in foreign currencies that influence NBS's basic capital in the course of the year. These will only be factored in at the end of 2008.
As of November 30, the losses from the aforementioned appraisal would have lowered NBS's basic capital by Sk33.6 billion (€1.12 billion). TASR
