THE 2006 draft state budget will be high on the agenda of the 52nd session of the Slovak parliament, which Speaker Pavol Hrušovský convened for December 6, the SITA news agency wrote.
In its blueprint the government projects state budget revenues at Sk268.2 billion (€7.08 billion) of which Sk27.9 billion (€740 million) should come from the EU budget funds. The state budget expenditures are projected at Sk330.1 billion (€8.71 billion).
Before taking a final vote, MPs have to decide on several other laws related to the budget, including for instance the planned reduction of the state bonus for housing construction schemes next year from the current Sk2,500 to Sk2,000(€66 to €53), which should bring an Sk650 million (€17.1 million) saving to the state budget.
The government also submitted a revision to the law on court fees, which should bring in another Sk200 to Sk250 million (€5.2 to €6.5 million) extra.
