Slovak Democratic and Christian Union MP Ivan Mikloš, who is Slovakia's former finance minister, has accused the Fico government of focusing only on nuclear energy, and disregarding other alternative sources of energy. He emphasized that renewable energy sources have a lot of potential in Slovakia and deserve more attention during this time of rapid economic growth.
He said that there are excellent conditions in Slovakia for the use of biomass as an energy source and that it would also raise regional employment rates.
