Opposition failed to recall Smer's Glváč. Will he step down on his own?

Coalition MPs obstructed a special session in parliament.

A week after the communication between Marián Kočner and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Martin Glváč (Smer) via Threema and Viber surfaced, he remains glued to the post, thanks to the help of coalition MPs.

The opposition failed to recall him on October 29, after the parliament did not support opening the special session on this matter. Its representatives called on him to resign, the TASR newswire reported.

“We know one thing for sure,” Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) MEP Lucia Ďuriš Nicholsonová said, as quoted by TASR. “His political accountability and reputation as a politician have been hit hard.”
