PM playing "dead bug"

PM Mikuláš Dzurinda's coalition partners have accused him of playing a "dead bug" - ignoring criticism - for refusing to explain speculation surrounding his SDKÚ party's alleged links with an influential Bratislava businessman, which surfaced during an ongoing surveillance scandal.

Following a February 25 coalition council meeting, Dzurinda said he was not going to comment on the speculation arising from transcripts of tapped phone calls between businessman Jan Badzgon and an SDKÚ member. Dzurinda dismissed the transcripts as "mafia practice".
