Shortly after the abduction, a police dog led officers to a street where both the dog and its abductor were found. Košice police spokesperson Alexander Szabó informed the SITA newswire that the teenager confessed to having abducted the dog and later admitted to having abducted another German Shepherd, which he subsequently sold. Police are still searching for this second abducted dog.
