The police heard the testimony of Deputy Speaker of Parliament and New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) chair Pavol Rusko in the case of tycoon František Mojžiš, who had previously been in business with Rusko.
Mojžiš, who owns unlicensed deposit company Drukos, claimed that ANO boss forced him to lend him money by threatening to use private TV Markiza, which Rusko then owned, to destroy Mojžiš. Mojžiš has said he is willing to undergo a lie detector test to back up his claims.
The daily SME assumes that Rusko will probably face charges soon. However, the police first have to request parliament to surrender Rusko to criminal prosecution by lifting his deputy immunity.
Rusko said that Mojžiš's testimony was nothing but a "pack of unbelievable lies."
