According to an AIMmonitor poll carried out by Mediaresearch Slovakia and the Gemius agency on behalf of the Internet Media Association (AIM), only 75.5 percent of hits on Slovak websites come from within the country.

Mediaresearch Slovakia manager for internet polls Michal Svihra said on July 18 that the number of internet users in Slovakia has reached 1.761 million, with a wide range of age groups represented.

"In May, Slovak internet sites included in the AIMmonitor poll registered a total of 2.133 million users, including foreign ones. The number of users based in Slovakia was 1.62 million," Svihra added.

AIM is an association of the operators of the most popular internet sites in Slovakia. Its aim is to develop the internet and promote internet advertising in the country.
