A NEW survey showed that Slovaks are split on evaluating the year 2003.
While 37.1 percent of respondents in a poll carried out by the MVK agency said the year was no different than other years and called it common, 31.5 percent said it was bad, the daily SME wrote on December 30.
Only 3.2 percent of respondents labeled the year very good, and 18.1 percent said it was good rather than bad.
More than one third of the 1,138 adult respondents, 35.6 percent, fear what 2004 will bring. 32.2 percent will enter the new year with hopes for improvement in their lives.
