Zuzana Čaputová is expected to win the second round of the presidential elections, according to the latest poll. She would be supported by 60.5 percent of respondents, beating her rival Maroš Šefčovič, who would garner only 39.5 percent.
This stems from an exclusive poll carried out by Median SK for the public-service broadcaster RTVS, between March 17 and 19, on 1,014 respondents.
Who supports the candidates?
Čaputová is mostly supported by younger voters aged 18-30 years and respondents with a university education. People aged 65 and higher and voters with a secondary school-leaving exam would support Šefčovič, the poll suggests.
It also showed that only 44 percent of respondents would actually cast a ballot. Mostly young voters aged 18-24 years and voters older than 65 years of age said that they would certainly participate in the elections.
About one-fifth of respondents said they would consider participating.
