Prime Minister Robert Fico still does not intend to dismiss Construction Minister Marián Janušek. He claims that he is waiting for the results of in-depth audits by the Public Procurement Office (ÚVO) and the Supreme Control Office (NKÚ), which should show whether Janušek proceeded correctly in the case of the tender to select a service providers for Sk3.6 billion. At the session of the Parliamentary Committees for European Affairs, he criticised opposition deputies for airing gross accusations and not apologising for spreading lies when they turn out to be inaccurate.
Fico recalled that opposition deputies accused Finance Minister Ján Počiatek of leaking in advance the conversion rate of the Slovak currency against the euro.
"However, this turned out to be a lie," he said. He claims that lies were spread also around the Tipos case. "If you wrongly accuse somebody, I would expect you to apologise afterwards," he said. SITA
