The state investigator has halted the criminal prosecution of the case of the sale of ex-steelmaker VSŽ shares from the portfolio of former state-owned crude oil pipeline operator Transpetrol, special prosecutor Jan Bernát confirmed for private Markiza TV.
The transaction that moved the VSŽ shares to pockets of financial speculators sparking a scandal took place in December 2001.
Onetime economy minister Ľubomír Harach was suspected of leaking insider information.
