The point given that every country needs a constitution is absurd. Britain has both written and unwritten laws and both are there for our benefit. [Britian does not have a constitution.]
Constitutions are an abominable thing, as they give rise to swings in courts, such as the US Supreme Court leaning heavily to the right. In Slovakia, the court leans heavily towards the former government - and these are the people who are defenders of the constitution.
The EU is not a country, it is 25 member states cooperating in various ways, and not very effectively most of the time. A constitution is not necessary, as we are not a country but a family of brothers and sisters co-habitating. As a family, we do not need fixed rules enshrined forever but a more flexible cooperative approach based on good old common sense.
