RUSSIAN company Russneft is preparing its entry into the Slovak oil transportation company Transpetrol, possibly taking over the 49-percent stake that currently owned by the troubled Russian oil concern, Yukos.
Russneft President Mikhail Gutseriev yesterday spoke with Slovak Economy Minister Jirko Malchárek. Following the meeting, Malchárek labelled Russneft a “trustworthy partner with a development perspective for Transpetrol”, the Hospodárske noviny daily wrote.
Gutseriev confirmed that he talked about the possible increase of oil supplies to Slovakia through the Druzhba oil pipeline as well as about overall investment plans, which he refused to specify.
“We want to keep all the commitments that Yukos made when buying the stake in this company,” said Gutseriev.
