Ryanair to start flights between Bratislava and Sardinia in June

Irish low-cost air carrier Ryanair will extend the range of destinations it serves from Bratislava Airport at the end of June when it starts flights to Sardinia, the SITA newswire reported on March 23.

The first flight from Bratislava to Alghero will take off on June 24. The route will be operated twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, Ryanair announced.

Ryanair, which is the largest carrier at Bratislava Airport, transported 142,500 passengers in the first two months of 2010, 71,000 of them in February. It currently operates about 20 scheduled flights from Bratislava.
