Samsung Electronics opens logistics center in Galanta

SAMSUNG Electronics Slovakia opened a new logistics and distribution centre for central and western Europe in the western Slovak town of Galanta on May 23. Samsung also has a factory in Galanta.

The company invested Sk750 million into the centre. According to company officials the logistics centre should be in full operation by early July and should employ about 300 people, the SME daily wrote.

The company started building the centre on November 22 last year. The 25,000 square metre facility will distribute Samsung's products made in Slovakia, Hungary and in the Middle East.
