The Slovak investment agency SARIO reports that it has sent a list of 45 Slovak firms interested in working in Iraq to the US agency for international development USAID.
"We also provided the list to the deputy speakers of parliament and Finance Minister Ivan Mikloš, so it is with him at the two-day OECD talks in Paris, where they are dealing with a review of the suggestions for carrying out economic aid for Iraq," said Ladislav Balko, general director of SARIO.
Balko believes strong Slovak energy, water, construction, mechanical engineering, and health provision firms all have a chance to be involved in the reconstruction of Iraq.
