Single toll tickets for transiting truckers to continue until end of January 2011

Truck drivers will be allowed to pay for Slovakia’s road tolls with one-off tickets until January 2011, road-toll provider SkyToll spokesperson Lenka Lendacká informed the TASR newswire on June 26.

Truck drivers will be allowed to pay for Slovakia’s road tolls with one-off tickets until January 2011, road-toll provider SkyToll spokesperson Lenka Lendacká informed the TASR newswire on June 26.

This means that trucks passing through Slovakia only occasionally will not need to have electronic on-board units installed.

The Transport Ministry's new regulation extends the validity of toll ticketing as a proper payment method. The time-limited tickets are issued at certain transit border passes and allow traversing 18 transit road sections in Slovakia.
