SkyEurope launches flights from Budapest to Milan and Zurich

THE SLOVAK low-cost airline SkyEurope launched regular flights from the Hungarian capital, Budapest, to Milan and Zurich, the SITA news wire reported.

"The new lines to Milan and Zurich are the first low-cost flights from Hungary to Italy and Switzerland," said SkyEurope's director general, Christian Mandl.

SkyEurope connects fourteen destinations in Europe.

In mid-September, SkyEurope Airlines reported sales of about Sk230 million (€5.6 million), which is a significant increase over sales of Sk96 million (€2.34 million) reported in the same period last year.

The company began operating on February 13, 2002.
