The government wants to attract new investors for a 90 percent stake in Slovak Airlines before January 2004, according to its general director Tomás Slivka.
However, he warned that current conditions in the market, such as the situation in Iraq and the outbreak of the SARS virus, meant that there were currently no interested buyers.
He added that it was important that any investor would continue the airline service "in the Slovak colours."
