The daily newspaper Pravda has changed its owner. It announced on March 1 that it would change it owner for the second time since 2006, the Sme daily reported. The international press group Northclife International (owner of the Daily Mail, and others) sold the newspaper to Florena company and the deal was mediated by J & T Group of Slovakia.
J & T spokesman Maroš Sýkora told the Sme daily said that his company’s clients are behind the purchase but refused to state the price. The financial group not only mediated the deal but also has the first option to buy. Sýkora added that the J & T group will for some time watch the daily and then decide whether to buy it. He concluded that even if it did so it would not influence the contents of the newspaper. Sme
