Slovak Shield 2015, a military exercise featuring more than 600 pieces of military equipment and almost 4,000 soldiers, including 119 members of the Indiana National Guard has been taking place in the Lešť training facility.
“These exercises are important to prepare our soldiers for the protection of our country and to train us to communicate and cooperate with our partners,” said President Andrej Kiska during a press conference held in Lešť.
Slovak Shield follows several previous military exercises focusing on solving crisis situations which Slovak soldiers have undergone this year.
