Slovakia's Interior Ministry has provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine for flood victims. The aid was provided in response to a call by the European Commission’s Monitoring and Information Centre in Brussels.
Slovakia's humanitarian supplies will be delivered through the country’s consulate in Ukraine on August 7, said Ľudmila Stanová, a spokesperson for the Interior Minister's office. "The humanitarian aid consists of ten tents, five pumping devices and 1,500 sleeping bags," Stanová reported. The material is worth nearly Sk6.5 million (€215,760) at market prices and comes from reserves of humanitarian material. The consignment has been loaded onto trucks in the humanitarian base in Limbach and from there will be driven to Ukraine. "Representatives of the Regional Office for Emergency Situations in Ternopil [Ukraine] will receive the material humanitarian aid," Stanová added. SITA
