During the trip Malchárek also met with Mikhail Guceriev, the director of the Russneft oil firm that bought the Transpetrol stake from Yukos for $103 million.

The Slovak Antitrust Bureau has already approved the transaction, but the sale has yet to be approved by the Economy Ministry, which can block any sale until April 2007.
