Part of the Czecho-Slovak anti-chemical unit based in Kuwait will go into Iraq to help distribute humanitarian aid, according to military officials.
General Dušan Lupuljev from the unit said that the Slovak troops are also going to set up a field hospital in southern Iraq within the near future.
The soldiers are reported to be in good spirits after receiving donations of food from home.
