ACCORDING to the latest Focus poll, Robert Fico's Smer party continues to lead the popularity charts with the support of 27 percent of respondents. The Movement for a Democratic Slovakia comes second with 21.6 percent, followed by the Hungarian Coalition Party with 11.2 percent.
The Christian Democratic Movement took 6.8 percent and the Communist Party took 6.7 percent, both surpassing the 5 percent minimum required to enter parliament in elections. The party of president-elect Ivan Gašparovič, the Movement for Democracy, would also make it to parliament with 6.2 percent.
The Slovak Democratic and Christian Union gets 5.5 percent and the New Citizen's Alliance 5 percent.
