Slovak gas utility Slovenský Plynárenský Priemysel (SPP) has withdrawn two of three legal complains it had filed against the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (ÚRSO) pertaining to its price-setting decisions. The Bratislava Regional Court also dismissed a motion for suspension of the proceedings also submitted by SPP, the TASR newswire reported on May 22.
Spokesperson for ÚRSO Miroslav Lupták said that the withdrawal of the complaints is proof that ÚRSO’s pricing policy is appropriate.
“This proves that the office acted in accordance with the law and its arguments were convincing and based on facts,” he said, as quoted by TASR, adding that the court proceedings were intended to discredit ÚRSO in what he called a defamatory campaign waged against it.
