Teachers seek additional salary hike

In its appeal published on that day, unionists also demand more money for education, legislative changes and cooperation with the Council for Systematic Changes in Education that was created in December, TASR wrote.

Salaries for elementary and high school teachers have gone up by 5 percent since the beginning of 2013. During the strike launched on November 26, 2012, teachers’ unions demanded a 10-percent salary increase.
