Telefónica to use phone numbers starting 0949

THE THIRD mobile operator in Slovakia, Telefónica O2 Slovakia, will be using phone numbers starting with the prefix 0949.

The Slovak Telecom Bureau (TÚ) on September 13 assigned numbers in the 0949 xxx xxx range to Telefónica so that it could offer them to its customers. The company was also provided with other codes and numbers necessary for the provision of mobile phone services via Slovakia’s mobile telephone network.

The TÚ also gave Telefónica written confirmation that the company has met all obligations and may thus begin providing all services related to the mobile phone network, including voice, Internet access, and data-transfer services.
