The police have dismissed an investigative journalist's complaint

Journalist Adam Valček filed the complaint last May.

The police have dismissed a criminal complaint filed by the Sme daily journalist Adam Valček, the Denník N daily reported.

Investigators have questioned controversial businessman Marián Kočner. However, he refused to say how he obtained personal information about the journalist.

As investigative journalist Marek Vagovič, who was the first to publish information on Facebook, wrote, Kočner said that "as a journalist, he reportedly protects sources of his information".

Kočner received press credentials from the Syndidate of Independent Journalists (SNN), founded by controversial personality Martin Daňo.

Valček filed the complaint on May 31, 2018, after learning from communication with Kočner that he had collected information on the journalist.
