Two Slovak construction workers were killed in an accident on the construction site of a power station in Germany on October 25.
The two workers, aged 35 and 32, and a third victim, a Czech 25-year-old, died after steel beams fell more than 100 metres, taking construction workers with them. Five other builders were seriously injured, including two more Slovaks.
A representative from the Slovak representative office in Bonn visited the injured Slovaks in hospitals in Duisburg and Dormagen on October 26. The injuries of both the Slovak workers are not life-threatening.
The power station is in Grevenbroich-Neurath, near the Dutch border. All affected Slovak citizens worked in Germany legally for a Slovak construction company.
