STEELMAKER U. S. Steel is expanding its network of sales offices in Europe. In September U. S. Steel Europe opened a sales office in Milan, Italy. The new sales office will work to identify additional sales opportunities and expand the firm’s commercial presence in Italy, U. S. Steel Košice (USSK) announced in a press release released on September 25.
“Opening this new sales office is another step forward in line with our new commercial business strategy known as ‘Close to You’,” Christian Korn, vice president - commercial for U. S. Steel Košice, wrote in the press release. “Our goal is to get closer to our customers not only by opening new offices that are geographically close to them, but also by increasing our dialogue with them.”
The steelmaker believes that this strategy will help it better understand customers’ needs and learn more about local business conditions so that it can provide its customers with high-quality steel products as well as solutions that will help them improve and add value to their own business.
