The current management of the state-run insurer Všeobecná Zdravotná Poisťovňa (VšZP) plans to submit a lawsuit against former members of its board of directors Marcel Forai, Miroslav Vaďura and Antónia Borovková. It claims compensation of €15,000 for the flaws made in contracts, the TASR newswire reported.
“VšZP has already said it insists on compensation for the damage and is currently preparing a lawsuit,” the insurer’s spokesperson Petra Balážová told TASR.
Forai and Vaďura, who both led the insurer in the past, have doubted the compensation, while Borovková did not respond at all, Balážová added.
VšZP received the fine of €15,000 from the Health Care Surveillance Authority (ÚDZS) for making mistakes in agreements concerning medical care. ÚDZS had checked dozens of contracts, including the ones involving Forai’s aunt, Anna Sučková.
New members of the insurer’s board of directors meanwhile decided that the fine should be paid by Forai, Vaďura and Borovková, TASR wrote.
