Slovakia defended its position in the canoe slalom teams competition.
The trio of canoeists, Alexander Slafkovský, Michal Martikán and Matej Beňuš, dominated the Men’s C1 Teams race at 2019 ICF Canoe Slalom & Wildwater Canoeing World Championships, held in Seu d’Urgell, Spain.
Spain was second (+3.05 seconds), followed by Russia (+4.24 seconds).

The Slovak trio has been dominating the 3x C1M discipline since 2009, winning the ninth gold in a row, the SITA newswire reported.
The canoeists did not make a single mistake during the race. Although the referees first penalised them for one touch of the gate, they decided to change their decision after a videoanalysis, SITA wrote.
