Bratislava Spring festival 2024

March 24-26, 19:00 in Hall of Mirrors of the Primate's Palace, Primaciálne námestie.

The international choral festival in Bratislava, brings the most interesting from the field of choral singing. We invite choirs from all over the world to contribute to the peaceful spring mood with their singing, traditional culture and spontaneous performance.

11 choirs from 5 countries will participate in the festival, coming from Serbia, Slovenia, Denmark, Lithuania and of course Slovakia.

Nature

Vápenná Vápenná (source: One2We)

Hike to Klokoč and Vápenná

Meeting point: March 23 at 7:20 at Nivy bus station.

This weekend the hikers will head out on a challenging hike to the peaks at Klokoč and Vápenná. They will cover 12-13 km in just over 4 hours over steep elevations and rocky terrain.

So, the group will meet at Nivy bus station early in the morning, at 7:20, for the 7:33 bus on Platform 14. On their way to Plavecké Podhradie, where the hike will start, they will make a change at Rohožník.

The hikers will take the path out of the village, into the forest, and then to the first peak at Klokoč (661 m). They will continue along the ridgeway to Vápenná (752 m) then head down to Sološnica for the bus back at 14:00.

Screening of the film "Annie Colère"

March 26, at 18:20 at the French Institute (Sedlárska 7).

January 1974. Annie, a working-class mother of two, accidentally becomes pregnant and encounters the Abortion and Contraception Liberation Movement, which provides illegal abortions to the public. The film depicts how Annie meets both comrades and opponents through her struggle.

The film is in French, but English subtitles will be available.
