Binoculars are now located on the tower of Castle Šariš

They offer even better views of the surrounding country.

Visitors of Šariš Castle can now see the surrounding country with binoculars. They were placed at the highest point of the castle, the so-called donjon.

Thanks to the binoculars, it is possible to see the wide surrounding of the countryside better, which is normally not possible with the human eye.

“They zoom in more than 20 times,” said Branislav Švorc from the Regional Organisation of Tourism in the Šariš Region, as quoted by the TASR newswire.

“I believe that with those small steps we will be able to lure even more tourists to the castle,” said the mayor of Veľký Šariš, Viliam Kall, as quoted by TASR.
