The village of Veľaty (Trebišov District, southeastern Slovakia) has a cycling depot with the first charging station for e-bikes in Zemplín, as well as e-bike rental and charger for e-mobiles since May 26.
The “entrance to the Tokaj wine-growing area” has received these conveniences thanks to the Terra Incognita project of the Košice Region (€10,000 while the total costs were €11,643), the local tourism board Košice Región Turizmus informed the SITA newswire.
Just next to the Aqua Mária boarding house in Veľaty, all these devices and facilities can be found the whole year round.
The TOP Výlety (TOP Trips) Terra Incognita project is linked to experience and adventure tourism in the Košice Region, on one of the three thematic routes: the wine-, iron- and Gothic route.
In Veľaty starts the yellow cycling path crossing the so-called Counts’ Road to Čerhov and further, all the way to the outlook tower in Malá Tŕňa.
The Aqua Mária boarding house, next to which the cycling depot is located, lies directly on the Tokaj wine route.
