Košice and Tokaj will be connected by non-scheduled train for cyclists in September

Some winemakers prepared special degustation sets, one of the wineries will commute special shuttle service from the train station.

Non-scheduled touristic train Tokajský Cykloexpress will take travellers from Košice to Tokaj area during the grape harvest.

It will commute every Saturday of September and its part will also be a cargo-carriage for free transport of bikes.

The train will commute on the Košice-Čerhov-Slovenské Nové Mesto-Streda nad Bodrogom route and back. It leaves the Košice station at 8 a.m. and leaves Streda nad Bodrogom at 18:00. It will commute on September 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th.

“After the good experience with Ľadový and Gemerský Express we would like to support eastern part of the region where tourism is in full swing during the grape harvest,” said Rastislav Trnka, chairman of Košice self-governing region, as quoted by TASR.
