Artists from the Big Names Human Statues project made celebrities from around the world live again in Spišská Nová Ves where the festival of static art took place over two days, Spiš Korzár wrote.
People stood in queues to hold a tower for Mr Eiffel, pass a light bulb to Edison or dip a brush in the paint for Leonardo Da Vinci. They could take a drink from John Pemberton or shake hands with Coco Chanel.
As the organizers stated, the festival arose with the aim “to bring static art, which is popular in the wider world, to Slovakia and introduce some interesting foreign and home-grown artists,” Spiš Korzár wrote.
The first festival took place last year. About 30,000 people came. This year the attendance was huge thanks to foreign artists from Germany and Portugal, Spiš Korzár reported.
