The tourist summer minibus connects popular tourist spots in the north and south of Slovenský raj. Besides better accessibility of the national park to tourists, travellers can take ride through the central part of the national park for the first time.
The minibus will operate on the reconstructed Kopanecká road on the route of Spišská Nová Ves through Smižany, Čingov, Spišské Tomášovce, Spišský Štvrtok and Hrabušice with the Podlesok and Píla tourist centres, through the Kopanec Saddle to the Dobšinská Ice Cave, Stratená, Dedinky and back.
It will operate until August 31st. The aim of the project is to provide service to tourists to travel easily without cars and reduce the load of the car park, according to Martin Pižem, marketing manager of the Regional Organization of Slovenský raj & Spiš Tourism.
The cooperation of Banská Bystrica region provides a widening of the route from Dedinky to village of Telgárt under Kráľova Hoľa and back.
Holders of the Slovenský raj & Spiš tourist card have a summer minibus for free. Every tourist accommodated in partner facilities of Košice Region Tourism for at least for two nights will get a card for free.
