Zlaté Piesky (Golden Sands in English) is a popular recreation area on the lake of the same name with a retro look on the outskirts of Bratislava, which also comprises the official city’s campsite.

The campsite underwent several improvements prior to the opening of the new summer season in mid May.
Now, a crucial part of the campsite is divided into numbered pitches of different sizes. Visitors can also use the latest infrastructure for caravanning with the possibility of emptying liquid waste from campers, caravans and buses with a chemical toilet (for a fee and for passing vehicles). There are also electrical connections, access to water, sanitary facilities and a brand new kitchen and laundry room.
In the cap, pets are allowed in the camping area, but they can only be walked with their owner and on a leash, besides the newly created fenced enclosure for their free movement.
Part of a bigger facility
The campsite is part of the Zlaté Piesky Areál Zdravia recreation area, the largest sports and recreation area in Bratislava, to which visitors have free access.

Zlaté Piesky is known, among other things, for the lake with beaches, a water lift for wakeboarding, opportunities for paddleboarding, beach volleyball, tennis and other sports. There are food stalls and restaurants while fans of barbecue or grilling can rent gazebos with a barbecue.
The resort is located just off the most important Slovak highway, the D1, a few kilometres from the D2 highway. Thanks to this, the campsite has excellent international accessibility via several European roads. About 200 metres from the entrance to the campsite there is also the “Zlaté Piesky” tram stop. With this tram visitors can reach the city centre in 20 minutes without having to change trains.
