"It offers visitors a map, thanks to which they can easily find objects that are part of the guide," said Tomáš Krahulec, director of the Novohrad a Podpoľanie tourism organisation.

In three languages, including English, the guide offers facts, photos and short videos about nearly 20 different sights, including the main attraction: the local castle.

In addition to the Fiľakovo Castle, people can learn more about a local park, the town's Calvinist church, and a WWII bunker, if they scan a QR code correctly.

The digital guide was prepared by the Castle Museum in cooperation with the tourism organisation.

Fiľakovo is also famous for its coat of arms. A palm tree is a major element in it.
