The Slovak Association of Hauliers (UNAS) filed a criminal complaint with the General Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday, May 4, over imperfections that it says the new road-toll system contains despite it having being in operation for 120 days.
"This complaint was filed over the suspicion of fraud, unjust enrichment, distortion of economic data and harming of consumers," UNAS chairman Jaroslav Polaček said at a press conference held on May 4.
UNAS says there is a problem with unsystematic or even random charging of invoices for distances travelled, as well as charges for use of non-toll roads within villages. Furthermore, it says, some tolled sections are longer than the Transport Ministry claims.
