TOTAL transport infra-structure investments reached Sk13.9 billion (€367 million) in 2004: up 3.9 percent year-on-year, the Transport Ministry announced.
Of the money, Sk9.6 billion (€253 million) went to roads and Sk3.6 billion (€95 million) to railway infrastructure. Another Sk455 million (€12 million) went to civil aviation infrastructure projects, Sk162 million (€1.14 million) to domestic water routes, the SITA news agency reported.
The investment expendi-tures on transport infra-structure, excluding expend-iture on local roads, was the equivalent of 1 percent of the country's GDP.
