Drawing related to Slovakia's commitment for 2007, reduced by advance payments, reached 87.14 percent. The full allocation should be drawn by the end of this year.

Eligibility to settle costs from EU structural funds for the 2004-2006 programming period expired at the end of June 2009 but payment units could file aggregate applications for payment with the payment authority until October 2009. The term was prolonged until November in some individual cases.

Slovakia had drawn €1.224 billion from the overall allocation of €1.169 billion in the 2004-2006 period as of the end of April this year. This constituted 104.71 percent. Drawing beyond the allocation was possible due to elimination of the negative impact of the gains reported by the Slovak currency vis-a-vis the euro prior to adoption of the euro in 2009.
